What is the purpose of a fixed barrier post?
The fixed barrier post is a permanent solution to vehicle and pedestrian management. It can be used to restrict vehicles from off-limit areas such as pedestrianised areas and retail outlets. It can also be used in conjunction with some metal chain. This can extend the barrier to cordon off restricted or off-limit areas. It can be fixed to the ground using mounting bolts (that we supply with each post).
Where can this product be used?
This type of post can be used in most commercial and public places. Because it is a solid, secure post, it will withstand some impact. Therefore, it can be used in car parks, shop fronts, parks and pedestrian-only areas. Schools may use this post to stop parents, staff and students from parking on the grass or areas where parking is unsafe.
Who might use this product?
Council workers, company staff, retail employees and many more people would use this post as a barrier to prevent any vehicles accessing an off-limits area. Staff of a shop may recommend their employers to install fixed barrier posts to prevent any vehicles blocking the entrance and exit to the shop. Installing a post in front of a shop could also be placed for safety reasons. There have been many accidents before where cars and vans have gone through shop windows and caused serious injury to the staff and themselves. The fixed barrier posts will stop most speeding vehicles if they are heading for the front of the shop.
Specifications of the fixed barrier posts
Each post is 610mm high and 60mm in diameter. In a choice of galvanised or yellow powder coated yellow. The post has two fixed eyelets for attaching metal or plastic chain. The post needs to be bolted down using the bolts supplied.
